Christmas 's shopping !!!

Here we are , the most beautifull time of the year is coming. We have all been waiting for that to happend. Even so it is the same every time, every year seems different. We have met new people, we have grown, we have experienced new challenges...all of that makes the next Christmas different.

But besides that, what makes Christmas so special, it's because it is all about the other. For ones in the year, we are just thinking of making our family, friends and so on happy. This is why we all have to do our :

Christmas's shopping!!!!!
Yes, we all have to go through this amazing period of : what will i buy for her, him, i have still one month and then ...oh it's in a week!!! We are all doing that and we all have a part of us that loves it!

We spend hours looking at every shops, hesitating between two differents scarves to finally ended up buying both; we always curse someone in our familiy because we can't find the right present . And we all have our technique:
Some uses lists, made by other people
Some try to be creative to find the gift that one does not expects
Some are doing it in a hurry, taking the first thing that comes to their mind
Some are doing it online, to avoid the crowd in the shops
Some are doing it month in advance
Some are doing it at the last minute

Whoever you are, however you are doing it, you are part of it.

And i almost forgot, if after having done all your presents, you realise that your budget has been exceeded, way way exceeded, don't worry, you are not alone !!!!!

happy christmas's shopping to all of you, enjoy it!!!!!!

A little place called home

We all know this feeling, when we are far from home, from our childhood place, and we feel a bit lost, we miss something.
Because our home is a part of who we are. It means family.

But sometimes, we found ourself in some places who have the same effect.

Places we have never been before, but when we go there, we feel completed. Like if a part of us belonged here. This is what henley-on-thames has done to me.

Parce qu'après tout, there is no place like home...

tradition 1 : graduation day

Today while i was working at the local library of Chester, i saw by the window a group of people, some wearing a ceremony robe, and other dressed like if they were going to a wedding..
I had forgot, this is graduation day.
Here in England, this is a really big tradition. It symbolises the passage from one life to an other. You are no longer just a student, you have a degree, and it really is important.
We don't realise that because in France, we just go, at the end of our exam to the university, check out the piece of paper hung on the wall to see if we made it or not. And that is all.
Here, the entire family is involved. Your parents are here, your brother, sister, all dressed up to the nine.Just for you, to recognise that what you have done is important. Because this is a big step for you as a person. You are now a doctor, a biologist, a teacher and so on...

The robe also is really important, because it shows to everybody that you are part of something different. You and the people around you, who made it too... You are now part of an other world. You had the right to wear the robe, because you have made something decisive with your life...

I think we should get inspired by them. Maybe not with all the splendor around it...

Congratulation to all the graduates of the year 2011!

Hey, there is a band playing in your living room!

Yes, there is a first time for everything, and this was amazing.
The german crowd of our erasmus groupe has been to a concert, given by a german band. They started to chat, and after a while, decided that they will come and play at one of the german's house.... For real!

Ans so you have it, a group of friends, from all over the world, listening together to some great music from a german band, here, in the corner of one's living room...
And you know what the best part is?   they have played some britney ^^
Who said life wasn't fool of beautifull surprises

Merci à Scarlet Drawl pour ce délicieux moment, et à janina pour avoir prété son appartement
